This pattern emerges in ecosystems where feedback is treated as occasional luxury rather than structural necessity. In high-functioning commons, feedback becomes a designed rhythm—not reactive crisis management, but preventive feedback architecture. The system is healthy enough to ask; weak enough to need knowing.

Feedback question: On decisions that affect your work, do you have sufficient visibility and voice before the choice is locked in? Collect this on a standard form, with space for specifics. Set a clear timeline: feedback closes on date X, the leader discusses patterns with their manager on date Y, and by date Z, the leader shares back what they’re adjusting and why. The practitioner—the leader receiving feedback—must then demonstrate change on that dimension in the next cycle.
